Honey and Smoke: Burn
I arched my back slightly, presenting my curves like a buffet before his eyes. Tilting my head, I let my hair fall loosely over my shoulder, so as to reveal the hard peaks of my nipples. The cool air kissed my bare skin, and goosebumps rose along my arms, yet his gaze set me ablaze.
He lingered in the doorway, the growl that lurked in his throat only fanning the flames inside me. is muscles jumped and twitched with anticipation, and I reveled in the eagerness of his gaze. My lips curved into a slow, triumphant smile. Let him stand there. Let him hunger. I drank in the way his chest rose and fell, the tension in his jaw and the intensity in his eyes. His aching need fed mine.
A surge of needy desire flooded me, though it was flecked with a quiet self-consciousness. My body ached for him, yearning for the feel of his hands on my skin, his body pressing close, taking control. Yet he stood patiently, his stillness unnerving me. His patience tormented my hunger.
I wanted him to move, to touch me, to claim me with every inch of him. My hand slid upward, fingers brushing the swell of my breast with trembling alacrity. Control slipped as need overtook me, my touch growing bolder.
Our eyes met; his eyes were dark and heavy with want, and I let him sit in the torment of waiting. Finally, I parted my lips, letting the words roll out like honey dripping from a spoon.
“Green light,” I said, my voice low and steady, sweetened with power even as I surrendered it.
He moved with intent, all restraint gone as he crossed the room. His scent hit me like a flood of heat, so intoxicating it unraveled me. It clawed at the last ounce of control I had. My pulse quickened and my skin tingled with need. I reached for his hands, pulling them to my hips, my eyes locked on his. The heat from his palms sent a shiver racing through my body, a possessive fire searing my skin.
The heat of his touch seeped through my veins. I guided his hands along my body until his fingers brushed my plump breasts. My eyes begged as my fingers wandered across his body, relinquishing control to his command.
But then, he stopped. His hands stilled, and his grip tightened, just enough to draw a gasp from my lips. His eyes locked onto mine, his lips twisting into a wicked smirk.
“You had your fun,” he said, his voice gravely sincere. “Now, spread your legs.”
It was not a request; it was molten and unapologetic. My thighs parted without hesitation. His arms lowered me to the bed, my knees sliding apart to encompass him. My body was bare beneath the dim glow of the red light, his hips pressing against me.
His gaze dragged over me like smoke curling through fire. The fire in his eyes was consuming. I felt exposed but no longer vulnerable. He cherished my submission and my body, and my need and my trust.
“Good girl,” he murmured, his praise sinking warmly into my mind. His face was shadowed beneath the tawny lighting. His hands moved again as if exploring, caressing the softness of my skin. Claiming what was his.
In that moment, I let myself burn.

I don't know what living a balanced life feels like. When I am sad, I don't cry, I pour. When I am happy, I don't smile, I glow. When I am angry, I don't yell, I burn. The good thing about feeling in extremes, is when I love, I give them wings. But perhaps that isn't such a good thing, cause they always tend to leave and you should see me, when my heart is broken. I don't grieve, I shatter. Rupi Kaur, Milk and Honey
